Writing Links (Alphabetical)

Apex Book Company - One of the region's most noted and prolific publishers of amazing science fiction, fantasy, and horror. In publication for decades, Apex has helped numerous authors get their careers started, especially with their very helpful and informative classes.

Horror Writers' Association - the premiere online organization for horror writers of all levels at all stages of their career, the venerable HWA is crucial for aspiring horror writers. Consider a membership with the HWA, and check out their classes, mentoring, and other very useful services.

Ohio Horror Writers Association - some very talented writers here (what is it about Ohio that spawns such great horror!?). Check out their events, authors, and always-informative posts. Earl hopes to be a featured member there too someday. :)

Shut Up and Write - don't let the name fool you - these are some wonderful people who want very much to help you get your writing done. The group is worldwide, and focuses on writers getting together (in-person or online) to write in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Author Links (Alphabetical)

Robert McCammon - his riveting Night Boat is the novel that started Earl on the path to becoming a horror writer.

Premee Mohamed - some of the finest cosmic horror literature you'll ever get to read, an expert and trend-setter within this (my favorite) genre.

Mary SanGiovanni - I had the utmost pleasure of participating in her Cosmic Horror class through Apex Book Company, which was astoundingly full of vital, well presented, and extremely helpful information. She is both a brilliant writer and a brilliant instructor.

Tim Waggoner - both a brilliant sci-fi and horror writer and also a very helpful and kind teacher of writing. His Writing in the Dark book and workbook are (IMHO) essential for aspiring horror writers.
